I've seen two and neither were street cars. It just requires way too much cutting and torching. Try doing a search, this has been covered multiple times in hybrid, crx/ef civic, and drag racing.

without a doubt it can be streetable but its a huge hassle to make such a swap.

you are gonna have to have way stiffer springs up front. the h22 is heavy as hell

A friend of mine put an H22a in a 90 CRX down here...he had to modify ALOT to make it fit. Pretty much if it wrecked, it was definately not going to be pretty.

Radiator support and driver's side lower torsion bar had to be all but totally redone.

It had a wicked pull, but the guy who owned it couldn't drive for **** I guess. He's best run was 14.0 @103...on slicks.

He drove it daily on the street. Not sure what happened to the guy or the car...he made lots of enemies though - he had been a well known thief.

Yeah, I went for a few runs with him in that car. Piece CRX felt like it was gonna fall apart off the line and when he shifted, there was a shitload of tq though. It felt good and was quick, but I'm sure a decently built B-series would lay it to him all day.

At Midnight performance we did a h22a in a 88-91 daily driven civic hatch. No axles problems. Car ran 12.8 all stock on slicks at sac raceway. Have pics of the swap at the shop.

Give us a call we can help you out 916-852-6887

We modified our own mounts. the cost of the project is $8000. you drive a stock crx in and you drive it out with a h22a smog legal.

midnight performance has done 3 of those already.. and they all are streetable and smog legal.. daily driven.. wit no axle problems nor hoood clearance.. give them a call and yse the project does cost about $8000.. if u have them get all the parts. but u drive in and drive out.. looking factory style. very clean.. they have pics of the ones they did.. and to what i know.. it all ran around 12.8-13.0 on a stock h22 wit jsut intake.. there # is 916-852-6887.. they now have a dyno machine in house.. so they can test ur car to see what its really making.. ask for ryan

prepare for the worse, and you should be ok.
u could street it, and if you learned how to drive it, it could be competitive.
but remember, the 88-91s dont have good traction like the 92+.
What do you mean by 88-91's don't have good traction like the 92+?

I diagree.... my 89 never wheelhopped and grabbed like ****, yet my 93 hops like a bitch. Remeber 88-91 had radius bars unlike 92-95 you need z10 bars those.
