H22 EF shakedown
Finally got my drag car running and made the first shakedown pass netting a 13.2..
Just wanted to get some feedback;
best run was about a 12.77 with 1.8 60 ft.. and about 104mph...
Running M/T... 22x8x13
Any suggestions on lowering 60ft?
Thanks.

Nice times.
Have you had a chance to weigh in your EF? What mods do you have done to the engine? What was the weather like? Sorry i have lots of questions
Because im trying to fuigure out what its going to take to run a 12 in my h22 Accord. HP to WT ratio...weather...ect..
Right now im at 13.9@97MPH. 60Ft of 1.9. My car weighs in at 2460 (+driver) and my h22 is essentially stock with the addition of open intake/header/Unorthodox race pullys and 22x15x8 Mt's. Temps at race time were +108degrees
Thanks in advance for the info

Stock motor.... Weighed in at 1860 w/ driver... weather was sunny and hot.. about 30c... tire pressure... 10psi... M/T 22x8x13. on Lenso VPD 13x7.5 rims...Couldn't lower pressure anymore cause the slicks were going to rub the spindle, so didn't want to ruin them. I'll be sure to get spacers for the rims next time around..
Lanching between 4500-6000.... tried those ranges, but just wheel spin in first.. but 2nd hooks up OK.. So. anymore analysis?
If anyone wants pics.. please feel free to email me.. I just don't have any place to load them up to post them.

Stock Civic rear suspension with coilovers.. but teh coilovers are lowered already Nto sure what else to do with the back end.. Maybe wheelie bar?
But wouldn't that affect aero dynamics? causing extra drag as oppose to lowering it? Not sure... Just asking.. I figure jacking it up would be better, but someone else told me otherwise
Now... I'm using Ractive coilovers in the back.. Unfortunately.. the set screws were sticking out too much.. so we weren't able to raise the car enough, but aside from that.. I'm pretty sure the ractive springs are weak and will be bouncy... What could I replace it with? Could I use a chopped Prelude spring instead?
WIth your civic ..theres all kinda stuff you can go with
What works decent for me: I have some Koni Yellows set all the way to "stiff" and I have Ground Control Coilovers with 400lbs Springs in the rear. I want to eventually upgrade to 500lbs springs.
Mybe Later on when im running the HP, I will get them re-valved and run 800lbs Springs.
Dailing in your rear Suspension can help ya alot in your 60ft time

In my friends race car(92 CX w/ H23 VTEC) We cut a set of front 95 Accord springs and put them in the back of his race car. Extremely stiff. Matched them with a set of Koni adjustables all the way around and you wouldn't believe the traction gain.
If I lower the pressure below 10psi.. I think my inner wall of the click is going to rub my spindle.. I'll need a spacer. Anyone know where I can get them?
Think Eibach drag springs on stock shocks would be good enough?

be a thung and get some throw down the 100 bux for some skunk2 drag launch springs.INLINEFOUR.com sell them. they are 900 lbs your car wont squat EVER again...i drove around in them for a year and a half till someone ELSE wrecked my car.they help traction alot, i was running 1.8 60ft times in a B16. at 13.2 full interior on a STOCK block and 113 lbs of TQ.
TRUE, you may need a chiropractor later in life, but youll need that from sofa loafin anyways. CHICK will not want to drive in your car with out a sports bra. it is fun to watch them bounce around....but keep your eyes on the road pal.

If you're going that fast and weigh 1860lbs, I gotta believe my one-off should do well (someday... when it's done....) 200lbs less and RWD, same engine. See it in sig.
Not planning on running slicks though...

very nice times, get some traction bars if you don't already have 'em and some wheelie bars and stiff suspension in the back.
very nice times though i bet that thing is a beast

How do the Eibach drag springs compare to the Skunk2 drag springs? Anybody know the difference in spring rate?
As for spacer.. I think I'm going to try and source them from around here.. cause.. I can't deal with duty and shipping.. I got raped enough times already.
Letholone.. buddy you're funny.
Wheelie bars.. I was thinking about building a set, but haven't had time. But I wonder about the drag coefficiency or the wheels.. I guess it'll be depend how much they're loaded by.
