Default gsr diff question

Will a quaife out of a s1 b16 cable tranny fit in a gsr if you use the ring gear from the b16 trans and switch to sealed bearings. Both ring gears are the same tooth count and overall diameter. The only problem i can see is the gsr gear is thicker that the b16, but it still meshes fine and doesnt hit anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that the Ls and B16 Diffs are the same and GSR's are different.

the diffs are the same for the b16 and LS trans , but asfar as the ring gear being wider , I would post up some pics

I know the diff is diferent size but ring gear same size as far as overall diameter and tooth count. I took the tapered bearing shims and races out of the gsr case to see if the b16 diff would fit with the sealed bearings and it does. As far as the ring gear being different thickness I think that has to do with different generations. I dont think it will matter as long as the gears mesh good, and they do. Now i just have to check the side load clearence on the sealed bearings. It looks to me like it will work. I hope.
