Default Gearing...

I never really hear people talking about gearing when it comes to drag racing hondas is there a reason for it? would changing out the B16 5th for a LS 5th and JDM 4.9FD or Cusco 5.0FD hurt you?

Are any companys working on custom gearing for better performance?

Just curious because with domestics gears are big deal.

well insanely close gearing can be had with all honda parts.

si 1-4
jdm 4.78 fd

good enough for most people. custom gears have proven to be less reliable (from what i have seen) then oem gears. once again, from what i have seen.

there are quite a few gearing choices for the B series trans. ATS, Kaaz, are just a couple companies that make Final Drives and Gear sets.

check out OUR Gearing section just to see some of the choices. Theres even full gear sets for the B series by ATS.
