With an inline pump I use -10 feed, -6 return. There's probably a lot of topics on this. Do a search in the FI forum.

joe made 860 on a dyno jet with -8 after the pump.
my setupis -12 from the tank to the pump, -10 pump to filter -8 filter to rail i made 710. last year i made 520 on stock lines with -6 from the stock filter.

-10 feed all the way up is plenty.

-12 to pump, then -6 after the pump to the rails/regulator, and back to the tank.

do the research on the pump and regulator you are using. with a pro series pump and regulator i run -10 feed and return.

we run mechanical pumps, and the cars are trailor'd to the track. i have driven it on the street with no problems though (not the racecar, but it was my race setup in my street car in 04 ) i do recomend not using it on a street car, for the simple reason that its sometimesa pita to start with almost 0 fuel pressure while cranking. or if the pump lost its prime you would be SOL, an electrical pump would be much smarter for a street driven vehicle.

this is the oil pump/fuel pump (the fuel pump has the 3 outlets on the top/1 inlet bottom

we have -12 out of sump to aeromotive profilter then -10 out of the pump to another filter,-10 up to the rail where it goes to -8 then -8 to -6 return. I think setup will work good on street and track although the aeromotive a1000 pump is a bit loud

I am running the full blown dual walbro setup with -10 from the tank all the way to the rail with a 74micron filter inline, and then -8 from the rail to the regulator, and -8 from the regulator all the way back to the tank
