Default fuel filters?

What fuel filters are you guys using? I've just got a stock one on there now, but Im getting ready to install some fancy steel braided fuel line and I am thinking of going aftermarket with the fuel filter, Im not really concerned with flowing more fuel, I just dont want one that is going to start leaking in 6 months.....opinions and flames welcome

Aeromotive and Kinsler make great units.

Aeromotive has a cool new one with a built in shutoff valve which is great for certain situations. However the Kinsler stuff is used on IRL cars which is nice, for both fuel and oil.

I am using two Weldon filters now, but
I used an AEM stock style filter up until I use dthe Weldon pump and it worked great along with a Bosch pump

i just researched this topic myself haha

i went w/ the Aeromotive 10 micron filter between the stock pump and injectors.

when i do the entire system i will most likely go w/ the Aeromotive 100 micron between the tank and pump. these 100 micron filters are also available w/ the shutoff valve like stated above.

It looks like Bang for the Buck you cant beat that C/M filter $75, reuild seal kit for $12, replacement elements for $12...1 micron with 90 gph flow, plus you can change the in/out boss sizes from 6an to 12an if I ever need to upgrade the fuel system again...those prices are all from pegasus btw

those golan fuel filters are the worst filter i have ever used. yes they are one of the nicest looking pieces, very nice looking on the outside and very simple on the inside. the fuel pressure kept collapsing the spring so the two filters would be butted up against each other causing fuel pressure to drop enormously. i opened it thinking maybe they sent me the carburetor style with a real weak spring so i ended up sending it back to them and they said that is their efi style filter.

now running a weldon filter.

they were very compact, thats what caught my eye. do the kinsler filters use a mesh (metal) screen or are they the cellulose filters?
