Precision 1000 or 1001(cast)

They both are priced close to what the other one is.

Really really stupid question, but do you think you could use one of these for an Allmotor setup? I was just sitting there reading and it just came to mind lol..

Frozenboost is junk. Just look at it compared to Precision cores or Garrett.

They use a cheap core compared to the others.... Spearco, Garrett, Precision, etc

ya that was my first guess. u can tell pretty much by looking a the color of material. figured i would ask.
leaning towards a PTE setup that will have a few mods done to it that i want.
hoping to get a deal when i get my turbo, lol

leaning towards the PTE 2000 with a few mods.

ive mentioned that before about A/M car. the only draw back is weight.
but u would not need a big setup. then what class will allow that?

What's important with these cores is the density of fins and the profile of the tubes. The cheap ones really stick out when you hold them hand in hand with a good core like Precision/Garrett.

From what I understand the Precision core is a Garrett core. I may be wrong, but they look identical to me.

I say get a core and build it the way you want. I picked up 2 1000hp Garretts for less than $550

ALLMOTOR? who dat, lol
to answer your question roger does the tuning, why?

my issue is im getting tired of all this fabbing in my garage. only have so much equipment.
if i can buy a cooler for half decent price that is to my requirements i will.
still will make my own if the PTE is to much or they wont make a few changes for me.

i believe we have talked about that here before & it has been done. it does help, but gain no a/m class allows it more so than anything

i have seen the frozen boost stuff in person and it is a true air to water core not a air to air like some of the other cheep ones but you do get what you pay for i do know that all there stuff is furnace brazed or welded so no epoxey to leak down the road

I bought an A/W I/C from them for a stock location setup on my '06 STi. The i/c is beautiful IMO. As c5R stated, it has a true A/W core. It also weighs more than the Blitz LM FMIC I currently have. I'm not concerned about a few lbs obviously. Once completed, I'll have ~12" of piping total, connecting a rotated 30R to the i/c with direct output into the t/b. I imagine I'll gain some response over the 14+ ft of i/c piping I have now.

Their prices are fantastic on silicone couplers/reducers and clamps as well. I replaced all the couplers and clamps for my FMIC for less than $100. I use at least twice as much of each than a B or K-series turbo would require.

Its not a great mystery to make a decent a/w intercooler core. Just copy one that works, and manufacture it for 1/3 the price in Asia. I've seen the frozenboost intercoolers work very well on some big HP cars.
The Garrett and Precision cores may very well be made in the same manufacturing plant. I bought cores from the same plant that made them for Turbonetics for 1/4 the price that turbonetics sold them for. I was even able to spec my own fin width, and dimensions.
There's nothing wrong with the frozenboost stuff. Its made in Asia. Just like your cars.
