Front is knocking at launch
My car - stock 2001 integra gsr
When doing 1/4 miles with a set of 185 width tires on stock wheels, the car didnt knock when launching at over 6000rpm. Wheels were spinning that's all.
I've tried again with a set a rpf1 with 205 width tires and the car knocked so hard that the radio came out! I had to launch more slowly in order to get less knocking of the front. Should i launch at a lower rpm with lower weight wheels and wider tires? Any tips?

this is why alot of us just ay screw it and run slicks, and yes we still break axles

Like i said, all my launch with the street 185 tires were fine, i really don't know what your answer is for. My launch with the 185 width tires didnt create heavy wheel hop like i got with the summer 205 width tires. I probably did domething wrong with launching, and even with drag tires i'm almost certain that i would still have wheel hop. Now my question was, what can i change in order to create less wheel hop?

Your old 185 series street tires were not made for good cornereing like your 205 summer tire. This means the 205 has a harder sidewall which makes for a better handling tire but unfortunately creates wheel hop when launched. Your best bet is to get a set of drag radials which have a softer sidewall which is much better for launching.
I will start by upgrading the suspension with some coilovers, because the weight is so heavily transfered to the rear when launching, that probably cause less traction on the front.
