Default first time at the track. with this setup

just finished the new build. and got tuned on wed.
car made

the setup is
SOHC
vitara built block. stock length fjt rods
port and polished head
59500 cam
supertech springs skunk2 retainers. stock valves
precision 6262 turbo
go-autoworks backdoor fmic and piping
GE intake manifold

took it to the track yesterday for the first time.
last setup ran 11.9 with 300whp
goal this year is 10's
two best passes were
11.01@129mph 1.8 60ft
11.2@121 1.960ft missing fourth gear.
fasted mph was 133 on a 11.4 pass just bad 60ft.

had problems bogging 2nd gear.just wasnt riding the limiter long enough in 1st i think. and the burnouts were terrible. def has a mid 10 pass in it on more seat time and a better prepped track.

comments and tips welcome.

Are you running slicks? Definitely could improve on the 60'. Once you do that, youll probably stop falling out of boost into 2nd.

I run 5.5psi in my 24.5x9.5-13s.

[EDIT] Setup looks great BTW. VERY VERY similar to my setup. Definitely making some good power. How much boost?

yes sir. M&H 23in tall on 15in rim. was running 10psi in them. il def run a little lower psi next time. maybe start at 8psi and go from there.
also it is on 28psi. only did one pull at 28psi on the dyno. told them to stop cause i was happy with that. def could of made more at that boost

John you should come to brainerd and run the true street class, 62mm turbo limit there. We are leaving the 24th.

Sick man! Yea, I would start at 8, and work your way down from there. 10 psi is definitely killing your 60'. You dont have as much sidewall with the 15" rim. So I dunno if I would run 6 or anything. But 7-8 would probably be perfect.

Very nice times. At what psi did it take to make that graph? Also switch to a 13 inch rim for the extra side wall and a 24.5 tire. This should greatly help your short track.

24.5's will be way to tall at the moment for him. He still has a ton of mph left in 4th so stepping up to a 24.5 is going to slow him down. What transmission are you using? I forgot to ask that over on the other forum?

im positive it can make over 500whp on 28psi. it made the 475whp at 28psi the first pull and i said stop. no more pulls were made to change anything. def could of got more out of it.

24.5 is definitely too tall for a D tranny. 23 is right where you want to be. Itd just be nice to have the sidewall from a 13. But you can still do well with the 15. I had friends running 10s, at my altitude, with D trannies and 22x8x15s.
