Default First time on slicks, any pointers?

My set up is a 92 hatch w/ H22 and LSD. SPEC stage 3 clutch/flywheel,GC coil overs with 350lb rates in the back/400lb in front and AGX 4 way adjustables. The wheels are 13x8 Circle racing wheels with M&H 22x8x13 slicks.I will br runnin Oct 29th on slicks for the first time and have a few ?"s. What tire pressure should I use, how much should I "heat" them up, what type/RPM of launching is recimmended and what number should I set the front/rear shock #"s at? Thanks for any advice that I get.

Start off the psi at 16 then drop it down from there to what ever works better. Try to launch at 5k or above ( I launch at 7k). Also do a 3-5 second burnout....GL

i would start it high then work ur way down if u notice spinage still. i would start @ likw 13 psi first. warm it up really good in the box. launch high and hold on tight .

I was also wondering if I should raise the front up a bit, I am not slammed or anything just about a 2" drop...

I ran 9lbs. with the exact same slicks as you and launched at 7500rpm. Although my car was heavier at 2500lbs and only had a GSR. I netted 1.8's. Might had went 1.7's if I sprayed out the hole but was nervous of hitting the rev limiter.

I am a little nervous about launching at 6k or more due to axle breakage. I have heard of plenty of people launching at 7k or more and not breaking their stock axles. I will most likely start out at 6k and see how it goes.

depending of the kind of power u have under the hood. axles breaking shouldn't be a problem. one of my old turbo'd cars. i've launched like 7-7.5k on stock axles with no problem....u should be good.

Well the first time out after I installed my H was a bad night. I ran a 14.4 on some shitty Nitto NT450"s. I spun all threw 1st and 2nd. My best 60ft that night was a 2.4. Come to find out my throttle cable was all jacked up, I was never at WOT. I fixed that and the difference was night and day on the street. So now that that is fixed and I got some wheels/slicks I am hopeing for low 13"s.

On slicks 2.0 shouldn't be too hard. Of course easier said then done..

10psi and 6500-7000rpm launch on 90-93 integra axles. H22 w/ 70shot off the line.

Well, come to find out the throttle cable itself was cutting through the metal rind it exits from. The part that the little "rubber" coners. So what was happening was the cable was getting pinched in the exit ring due to the heavy angle the cable was at. I fixed all that now though, so its runnin better than ever.

My first day out on slicks I pulled a 1.7 with no LSD. Just preloaded and dumped the clutch at 6700, and held on tight from there and this was on 9psi in both.
