put you in the water box, makes sure there is nothing ruff in the way that could damage a rite (i once pit for a friend and seen alum soda can tabs, change, even a allen key someone had dropped ). Pick that **** up, shredding a tire cant be fun.

Make sure you line up in the groove, i see a few people at events that dont have someone spotting them end up out the groove. I even seen one guy with the driverside tire almost on the shoulder.

He can also see what you are going right, and what you are doing wrong .So you can make the corrections. Tell you stuff that you can't tell from the seat. Does it look like the car is spinning the tire on the rim, maybe warn you that he sees blue smoke or sparks, who knows maybe a fire.
You're right, a staging crew helps a lot. I have two people stage me when I run, one for burnouts and the other to get me in the groove at the line...

Its crazy but you will see a big difference in 60' times once you get the burnout and groove figured out.

Don't trip Andre, some seat time will definitely help. Good luck

BABY STEPS!!!!!
we fixed an issue with my car after battling with it for a while, and went to the track running onff of the wastegate.

swinging for the fences on a new setup isnt fun unless you know what you are doing hahaa (and obviously we didnt)

This is on wastegate (15psi).
Chris Harris spotting for me..
This was actually a 1st gear burnout (i feathered it a bit , so it wont hit the limiter too bad).. I switched to 3rd gear burnouts shortly after ad never looked back.

This was my 2nd Qualifying pass, and i wasnt focused on the tree.. I sugest when getting seat time . FORGET THE TREE... Just make sure you are not rushing (your ET clock dosent start till your tires move).. After you get it down , then start working on the tree..

Hope this helps.. 1.62 sixty foot, 11.0@127mph, 15psi, MH 24.5" x 13" slicks @ 6.5psi tire pressure, no traction bar.
