Default Finally got a Win!

Won 1st place at my local track last night bracket racing. It's a sport compact class and last night was a 6 car field. I moved up to a three way tie for 2nd in points for the season. No way I can get 1st in points, but if i dominate in the last race, 2nd is mine.

Just wanted to thank JFK78 from SpeedFactory for some advice he gave me on lowering my 60 foots. Thanks man!

6 psi tire pressure dead hooked and was not productive. 7 psi yielded a 1.81 60 foot, which used to be normal for me. 6.5-6.75 psi yielded a 1.77 and a 1.75. i only make about 300 HP so i'm feeling pretty good about 1.7x 60's. Being a b16, i don't have the torque most of you guys have either. I launch at 7200 RPM on the 2-step building about 3 psi of boost.

i won the final round with a .0146 MOV. I won by 2 feet at the stripe.

I think we need more bracket racers out there! I don't see much talk about bracket racing on here and I am the only Honda running for points at my track.

good job man! my track has anywhere from 18 to 26 sports compact cars on any given friday.

i race my street car in brackets, always runs 11.50 to 11.62 and ive only made it to the finals twice, and lost both times. their are some deadly bracket cars in my class. then you have some 17sec automatic cars that usually make it to the finals :/
i personally HATE the sportsman tree, it just too damn easy to go red, which i did last night in semi finals..

but yes, i love bracket racing!

i agree about the sportsman tree. i like the pro tree better.

i see alot of test n tuners, but no other Honda's around here bracket racing.

sure feels good to beat a 17 second automatic that runs a few hundredths on their dial! ahaha

thanks man. ya Robert is number 1 in points for a reason. i got lucky and he spun in second. caught him at the 1000' and just hung a fender on him. i was on a breakout pass too. also helped that i got him on the tree. seamed like i had lots of room on the big end. it would be cool if you raced points next year. get another honda in there. hahaha

Yes you should. hahaha Only costs $20 for the year to sign up for points.

Ya he's still beating everyone up with that Rabbit. Doesn't matter what he does to it, it runs 14.0 every time.

Found out last night that I get to go to the ET Finals Team Race at Woodburn too. Pretty excited about that. I guess there's over 700 cars that race over 4 days. In Sport Compact, the winner get's a Wally and a jacket. That would be sweet! But I'm sure the competition will be insane and I'll get my a$$ handed to me. hahaha 19 tracks and 2 sport compact cars from each track. My brother Rob will be competing in the Race of Champions there with his s10 truck.

I'm going to try. The team race may wipe my budget out, but what's a little more credit debt. ahahahaha Team race is Sept. 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. If i can go to BOTI, I think the only class I can run is Quick16/Sportsman. I also need to get a transmission blanket ASAP.
