I was wondering if anyone had the chance to dyno these jun killer camshafts made by Rocket.I did a search but the whole thread turned into a fight.Im ready to buy some camshafts right now and I want to make sure i get the best.If anyone could help i would appreciate it.Thanks.

dyno testing on its way... trying to make time and find someone locally..
eF-1 will pay for the dyno session if nessecery..the cams are on back order till next week... i will have the first of the next batch

 

Man i need cams right now and dont know how long i can hold off for.I hope you guys get them soon they sound pretty nice.

 

Just to add, I'm very happy with my B vtec turbo cams from EF-1. By the seat of the pants dyno, I gained a ton, now I have to finish tuning the car.

even though that on a all motor car compression is the only significant thing that increases whp!

 

Have you been reading on clubsi. The power in all-motor honda's is all in the head. You need displacement and compression for torque, and the rest of the power comes from cam selection, head porting, etc.

And there are limits to compression on street cars, so are you saying leave the head stock, and add compression to a stock motor, and that's the only way to make power?? If you get a motor and add 2pts of compression you might make 10whp, if you add another 2pts, you might make another 5whp. But by then your running way over what you can run on pump gas. Add big cams, port the head, valve job, etc etc...and you can make 30-40+whp.

 

i ordered my jun killers they go in this weekend and i'm gonna goto the dyno day HT Meet here in IL and that is next weekend so i can have numbers by then.

Rocket will pay for a dyno session?

i think camp1320 has em for 550? i'm not sure don't quote me on that but you can get em for quite a bit cheaper than jun 3's

 

Those EF1 Cams aren't very 'proven'...I mean, I havent seen any dynos...except the one that Rocket made. I'll stick with the Jun 3s for now...

 

I agree with you SuprDave,thats why i made this post so i can see some dyno's that people have.If i dont get some soon then i'll go with cams that are proven.

 

your right they aren't "proven" but we will see my car isn't completly built...YET

but with what i have we will see what power it makes....

KoRE, I am going to that dyno day and I am looking into those cams also. What are you driving so I can know who to look for and we can talk more then.

 

I hear there's a guy running high 11's with those cams in an all motor street driven Civic.

robert has an excellent reputation on this board and ive bought products from him in the past. if his cams prove themselves i might swap to them from my JUN 3s but that will b highly unlikely. my cams have more than proven themselves to me and others. im definitely a believer in JUN 3s.

 

Yea i read up on rocket and visit ef-1.com and he knows what he is talking about.I just want to see if they really are jun killers.I do belive in the jun's and seen plenty of dyno's to know they are foreal.I just want to see what my options are.

i think i need to step in here real quick... i will guarntee the camshafts .. i dont think JUN will do that for you. just like every other cams JUNs BREAK too..!! If we didnt believe in our products i dint think we could afford to do a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with the HP i will personally refund the price of the camshafts. We have sold over a dozen cams without complaints or returns. We are not here to BS you guys and say that i have sold one million cams ..just giving out FACTUAL numbers and being as honest as possible.
