If I get the correct answer do I get a prize, or do I have to phrase the answer in the form of a question ?

Would that be a staging brake ?

Think about how fluid dynamics works. If you have no air in the system, the in-line set-up should work.

I wonder if the "problems" come from the fact that you now have 2 reservoirs ?

I would think the manufactures would know best.

What are the advantages of a staging brake over say, a line lock setup to the rear wheels?

You have a lot more adjustability with the staging brake, it's used to apply the rear brakes and drag the car forward into the staging beams. Then you can still use the line lock after the car is positioned.

That's how I understand it.

You can duct tape the button in also, if it's only for a short time.
