The Dynamics of the Perfect Launch
I know that your launch greatly depends on the car you are driving and its mods but as for the driving aspect of it, does anyone have any good pointers on perfecting my launch?? Practice makes perfect but what dynamics are there to think about?
Just something I was thinking about... Any pointers would be awsome!!!
Thanks

Don't dump the clutch, your axles will thank you for it.
I always preload the clutch enough to where the car won't move, the same way you would do while sitting on a hill, bring the revs up to launch rpm, and when its time to go I modulate the clutch and gas according to how the tires are doing(wheelspin, wheelhop, etc.)

Hmm launching... Personally, my experience has been:
Big Clutch
Big Slicks
Strong Axles
Good Suspension
Good Burnout
Perhaps 2-Step
8000rpm. Dump Clutch. Go.

I'm using an ACT six puck and I don't have to dump it.
It's like driving it on the street in normal driving. But I guess it depends on your power level and how your clutch is worn in.

straight to the point, question: what would you categorize as good suspension? how much do the slicks spin before they grab?
