DSS axle's cable and hydro interchangeable?
need some help...
i have a 91 civic dx, turbo ls/vtec w/a jdm S1 cable trans. i am running the 90-93 integra axles. i'd like to upgrade to some dss axles, and it was recommended to me to switch to the hydro axles as they are stronger than the cable ones.
the hydro axles for the EF civic from DSS are a different part #, than the DC integra hydro axle's. i phoned DSS and the guy i talked to said that he doubted they would fit, because he thought they would be longer.
am i missing something? from what i have read i can use any oem b-series axle in my car as long as i match the intermediate shaft with the driver's side axle. does DSS make their's different from oem?
if i was buying new, it wouldnt matter i would just get the ones specified for my car, but i found a set of used 3.9's for a DC. just not sure if they will fit.

awesome thanks mike! thanks a ton for all the help you have given me so far!
the fact that it is a jdm s1 trans doesnt matter, correct?
i noticed on the dss site that they seperate the jdm y1 trans as well, any idea what is different about that trans?
