I've had a Spec 2+ clutch in my 05 Subaru LegacyGT for over 36,000 miles now. It will still spin all four tires in 2nd gear.

for all those saying get a twin disc, my question to you is why would you do that and a CM stg5 and qother clutches will do the job? I did some research and recived some private massages and for a 550-600ish range seems the cm stg5 would do exactly what i need it to do.

got a spec supertwin in my car.. It grabs but its not too bad on the street.. some people just dont have pedal control..

Comp stg 5 w upgraded plate here. I'm right with you buddy, I have a decently high hp capable setup but want to stay in the oem trans safe range. I just want to enjoy my setup have fun and drive it

When I do end up getting a twin on down the road after a gear set, I will go with a comp twin because its decently priced, works on the street and the rebuild parts are cheap and available.

I figure if comp can figure out how to get there singles to hold that much power they probably make a twin that's good enough for me.

im glad i made this thread becuase now that i just pulled the tranny off i need another clutch so I will be ordering a comp stg 5 or a clutch masters stage 5. If you made 650 on it, that's plenty plenty plenty for me.

I am now the third person to recommend the comp stage 5! Mine is sprung and easy to drive on the street. No issues at all with 500whp for 2 years

God this is very confusing, I killed 2 ACT heavy duty covers and 4 plates in the past couple of years, power has been ramping up through-out that period.
I’m about due a complete new clutch assembly, I have a guy who’ll make me a twin disc, his holds over 700lb/ft and he’s not running carbon plates either, trouble is he’s not able to pre-load as it drags and he red lights.
My car is like the opening posters, mostly used on the street, gets circuit and drag to hell and back though, guess I’m at the point were I have to compromise, go twin and put up with the slight issues or stay single plate and change it twice to three times a year.

I wouldnt get that Clutchmasters Stg5, I ran that clutch and it was dead after 3000miles of use barely even beating on the car with only 250whp..... it was an on-off switch and was very harsh for the street, I had to leave redlights at like 3500rpm to get a semi-smooth engagement, and even then it still was a bitch, and traffic was horrible with it.

Same thing a friend of mine (earldasquirrel) has said about the CC Stage 5. Seems they may have the same characteristics in terms of engagement and driving. After riding in his car last weekend, I know I won't be buying one. lol

that doesnt make me happy considering i just bought the cmstg5. What confuses me is some people say they work great and some say they have problems.

and at 250whp?

the harshness i dont mind but I just want it to hold the power. I will let you know my results next week.

ive had good luck with both act xtr6 and cm stage5 with 480
and ive had friends with 620 that run the cm stage 5
theyre not great in traffic but it's not a stock car anymore so what do you expect

I'm sure i will be fine. Tony1 sells these often and he knows how I am and i'd rather not deal with BS. If that would have not work he wouldnt have told me to get it.

Have another questions on clutches but with a new model SI. I currently own a 07 Civic SI that is putting 650/400 to the wheels and upgrades to an M&W pro drag 4, Precision 6781 Billet turbo and larger intercooler.. During my Dyno pulls on race gas I destroyed my Carbinectics twin Disc Carbon clutch.. The graph showed I was on target for 700/450 and the car is capable of upper 700+.. I still running the stock tranny and gears.. What do most of the 9-10 sec honda run for tranny's? I want to use the EP3 tranny for gearing but heard it's a weak tranny and still need to buy a diff.. also heard that I may need to kyrotech my gears to handle that much power or go dog box.. As funny as this sounds.. I plan to drive the car as a DD in the summer time..

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
