Icon6 Drag Alignment

Can anybody suggest alignment settings that I can start out with for drag use? I realize every car/driver is going to be different but I need something reasonable to start with. The car is 500hp Integra street car. I don’t care about autocross or turning. I want straight line traction and high speed stability. I’m running drag radials now and eventually slicks. I have full-race traction bars, and front and rear camber adjustment. I have 400lbs springs all around with Koni Yellows (I know not the best drag suspension).

From my research I have found that some negative camber up front is good as it will flatten out when launching. However I don’t know how much my front end lifts so I don’t know how much camber to start with. I’m guessing -0.5 to -1.0* front camber?

And what about toe? I’ve read the front suspension pulls forward so toe out is recommended. However is this statement still true with traction bars? I’ve read 1/16" of front toe out is recommended per side, is that OK?

And I assume whatever camber in the rear is fine, probably 0*. What about toe in on the rear for stability? How much per side?

Here you go man. This should be helpful.

Thanks. Do you think the front suspension "toes in" even with traction bars?

Yes it does. That's why you offset the toe even with bars. With your power level it may not be that bad though.

Are you pushing or pulling with the bars?

Since the front wheels pull forward you push back on the LCA with the traction bars.

That can go either way. Some pull them forward try to extend the wheel base a little more for high end stability. Some push them back for whatever reason. Some leave them neutral. Main thing you dont want to do is bind the suspension up. Just my .02 cents

So far this is what Ive come up with:
Front Camber: -0.5* each
Front Toe: 1/16" OUT each
Front Caster: As much as possible using traction bars. Make symentical.

Rear Camber: 0.0*
Rear Toe: 1/16" IN each (for high speed stability)

Some people said 1/8" toe out in the front. I am not clear if thats each side or total. 1/16" doesnt seem like alot.
And is the rear toe spec a good choice? Shouldnt be too much to cause tire wear?

^^^From my experience this is correct. When the tire tries to travel forward it compresses the bars and transfers that enegry by pushing the on the front of the car. If the bars were in tension it would aid in LCA movement, which is the exact opposite of what traction bars are suppose to do.

The suspension doesn't "toe-in" under acceleration. As the LCA travels forward it moves away from the rack pulling the rear of the knuckle in and causing "toe-out."

So wait... Im confused? I always though you were supposed to pull the tires forward with the traction bars (positive caster). Now youre saying to push them back?

From my understanding, the traction bar pulls the LCA forward with preload tension to create more camber. The toe is set in this forward static position. Then when the LCA attempts to move forward under launch the bar provides compression resistance.

But your explanation of the toe out when the LCA moves forward makes sense to me.

I always thought they toed out during acceleration.

From my understanding the traction bar does two things it locks the lca from moving during launch and travel, and by pulling them forward (positive caster) it also increases our wheel base which helps increase traction.

As much Caster as you can get away with the traction bars.
1/8 TOTAL toe out.
-0.5 degrees negative camber

Can caster be adjusted in the rear of the civic to extend the wheelbase like a traction bar does in pulling/pushing the lower control arm? Or does anyone make this?

I see a lot of drag civics ex. Miller with the rear a bit stretched towards the rear of the car when seen from the side.
