you guys help me decide what size slicks i should get.
im ging turbo next year and will have 350whp w/ my eg hatch b18c1 w/b16tranny. what size slicks should i get for finishing at like 8000rpm's in 4th gear??
i think 23's. do you guys think that is a good size or do you think i will have to hit 5th gear??
also will vx rims fit 23x8x13? and will they fit 24.5x8.5x13??

VX rims is not the way to go for big slicks like that .
I would get at least 24s with the turbo set up . I have
23s right now on a all motor setup and I finish the 1320
in 4th at about 8300 ish .. That's with a stock GSR tranny too

ya and you also run 11 flat.
my track is also 4424ft. above sea so i only expect to be running mid 12's
know of any cheap rims that will do good with those slicks??

Lenzo makes a great rim but if you have the money . Get some Bogarts or welds as there lighter rims and also looks great .

Well that all depends on your will spin , plus you have lots more top end power .
On the all motor cars Mid 12s is around 109-112 ish . Dont " me on that .

for 350whp I'd say go with the 24.5

is this about right? will a mid 12sec car trap out @112? cause like i said erlier i have the b16 tranny and 4th gear traps out at 112 in 4th but the 24.5 dont trap out till 119. i wish they made 23.5" or 24"s

Also factor in that your trap speed is an average of the last 66ft. of the track. So if your trap speed says 110 you probably crossed the finish line about 115.

I would go w/ the 24.5 M&H's.. Should give u just enough room w/ your rev limit/gears to cross the finish line w/ out shifting to 5th. Also, ive seen them work really well on a 300whp car so you definitly have enough power to push them.

this is why i think i should get 23"s because this guys finishes the 1/4 @ the end of 4th w/23"s and he runs 11 flat

oh ok, do the 23's then for now.. If you run the car enough by the time u make 350whp u should need new slicks anyways. the 23's should be perfect for ur power and gears right now. when u make the 100more hp, do the 24.5's.

Hi DIRep972; I talked to megotvtec last night and the 23's would be right but he would be real close to the rev limiter. So he wanted to go with the 24.5 because he is going turbo soon. So I told him just bump up the air pressure and get the slicks spinning on the 24.5, untill such time he make his mod's.
