If she can drive? Great question, being the starter at a local strip she frequents for test and tune.....I know thats a very good question.......

Who's hate'n, I was stating a fact.
Even her own crew said she cant drive for ish......
Now that was back then, what will this season bring, well obviously a new car and a new challenge, I give her props for going at it and doing so "***** out" no pun intended.

This year the hot rod cars will be going low 8s...I'd say that a low 9 will barely qualify depending on the location. ****, Turbo 4 cars will be going low 10s this year consistently...
The front-end on that Venom car was gangsta as hell...I hope she ditches that speed-pro and the ethanol...Go Meth and Motec...The wiring on that car was a mess last time I saw it. Oh Yea, Lotsa Transmissions...

I met Stephanie her Dad and a few of her crew at some of the races last year. They are good people. I had the chance to hang out with her at the PRI show.It was funny all she talked about was racing. After talking to her I know She has the heart it takes to be a good racer. GOOD LUCK Stephanie and thanks for the help with our booth at the PRI show. Tom J
God damn, I'm back in high school...
First of all, thanks to all of the people who have given me props, bottom line is this: I just want to go racing, as I'm sure everyone who reads this can relate...
Oh, another thing, the press release on the NDRA website, where I'm a force to be reckoned with, I DID NOT WRITE THAT, I didn't write any of that paragraph, Glen can you back me up on that one, I actually called to have it changed after I read it for this exact reason, I don't want to come off cocky, 'cuz I'm not expecting to go out and win...
My goals with my team this year, which is just me and my friend Dan, is to make it to every race we have commited to and if we qualify at every race and hopefully run consistently, that to us is going to be a successfull first Pro season
IKIA: If you'll go back and read my posts, you'll see I wasn't pretending anything, someone asked for pics and I don't have pics for the exact reason I stated
YES, I bought a race car, why, not because I did not want to build my own Civic, but for many reasons...
I already had everything lined up to build my Si into a Pro4 car, chassis shop, someone to build my motors, wiring, Motec, etc...
I would have missed the first two races just finishing the car, let alone any testing and with no experience in a car faster than 10.77, I didn't think that was the safest and smartest choice...
I came across the car for sale, weighed out all my options and I had to make a choice between running my civic in Turbo 4 again or going for Pro4 with this car...
There were pro's and con's to both, but because I just want to go racing and had the opportunity to get this car and compete in the entire NDRA circuit, I did just that...
As for my driving, hey if I can't drive for ****, I'll make a fool of myself and that's one less car to worry about in Pro4 as competition, so who cares, why type **** here, I'm the very first one to admit that I have very little experience, I can count on two hands the amount of times i took a 13 sec. car down the track in 2002, then last year, still with no experience, I raised enough money to make it to the NDRA events and consistently got faster, starting with 13sec passes in Georgia to high 10's at the end of the season. I haven't been doing this for years, i don't have a boyfriend or husband who was into this or owned a shop or something. Two and half years ago I was a hairstylist/dj in Chicago who hadn't even driven a 5speed, I got into this on a fluke and have spent every dime I've had since, just tryin' to go racing 'cuz I love it
I wish everyone the best of luck this season, I'm looking forward to just being a part of it.

Im glad to see more female racers out there...it just makes it a better sport to be in for some reason
. Dont listen to all these leg humpers...just go out and do your thing like youve been doing. Some of these people act like they just sat in a car and went into the 9's...they seem to have forgotten all that it takes to get there. Good luck this season
.
BTW-Not just anybody can getinto the 10's...even with a badass car. Theres got to be some driver skill there.

Thanks Tom, by the way, give me your email address, I was gonna send you some pics that I took when we all went out after PRI
Still running it on Ethanol, methanol was something I looked into when I first picked up the car and consulted with some other racers who used Methanol and also the person who's going to be tuning it and they recommended just sticking with the ethanol.
I have enough to deal with this first season, gonna see how it goes and make bigger changes next year. It's a mad dash right now just to get everything ready to go for testing. As soon as the car got shipped to me, we had it stripped to the frame by that weekend, changing parts, wiring, bodywork & paint, tuning, etc...
So we've been busy, yes i bought a car, the chassis and block are remaining the same, but I'm not just jumping into the seat of a turn-key car...

What you don't understand is that the teams and racers have absolutely nothing to do with what is written in those press releases. NDRA does it to get fans AND racers excited. Thats part of the job.
It really kills me how all these people sit on these forums and bash racers for their teams, cars, driving abilities, physical appearance and anything else that can be criticized. Show a little respect for the racers out there keeping this sport alive, no matter how large or small their effort.
Stephanie....good luck this season
It should be a blast for you no matter what happens.

Jen and I have not decided on all the events we are attending but I think that our schedule may go towards NOPI. Not shure yet but I think that is the way we are going to go. We have 2 series we have to run up here as well.
I would like to wish stephanie luck with her pro car. I thought she was nice at the VMP race, but after she lost, she came up to our cars with techs to (what seemed to be, but may not have been) find something to protest our cars on. That to me is not cool, and it is the way angela proudfoot ended her street career and went pro. As you can see, that attitude hasn't taken her far. So hopefully it you will be successful, we need more racers lik Lisa, not like angela. Best of luck!
p.s. so can we chill when I am in chicago for work? I heard that you are from that area.

XXXRacing...
I've never gone up to a car to "find" something, trust me I've lost plenty of times and I think I only ran an 11.1 or something at that event, nowhere near the 1st or 2nd place of 10.50's, but I did have the officials give me **** about my cage, which I went up to other cars in the 10's for them to show me what was needed to be legal, i had to get the bar that went from the top of the driver's side cage on a diagonal to the floor on the passenger side, otherwise I wouldn't be legal for the next race...
and sure about hangin' out when you're in town for work, what do you do in Chicago?
