Icon2 Cams options.

I am looking for some advice on cam choice, my car made 897whp last year on S2S2 tuners and I am looking sqiese it some more by testing differante cams.

The problem is that I dont want to spend $2500 on cams (better to buy dog box), which I need.

Looking for experts advice.

Regards.

pro1s...is the next best.. ut i dont think u would make more peak..just more under the curve..the web cams t1 sells...or the magic sticks nrg tech sells...as long as they are vtec cams not vtec eliminators they will all be less than 1k..

I thought of pro1 but I know they will not help my peak power and right now I have a fat powerband with the tuners.

I sow the T1 custom web and their power band is to short (3k rpm) which I don't like.
NRG sticks, I did not see any graph for it, only a few sware by them without a graph comparing to others.

Any way, thanks for your input.

Any more suggestions?

What gear ratios do you have now?
Let's see your current power band for comparison.

My friends 67mm car has the t1 spec web cams with all the normal lobes and it has a huge power band and also makes over 900whp at only like 34lbs of boost.

you should speak to both Tony and Miller and they should be able to point you in the right direction about what their cams can and cant do for your setup

I would email Tony from T1 Race. I'm sure he will have something to fit your needs.

Hello is that your graph with your old b20 block stock sleeves?

Or is this for your new setup.

I agree with them that you should talk to t1 or miller for your needs.

Personally i use pro1s on my setup.

no, this graph from the sleeved Golden eagle 83mm block (was with JG intake and A1000 pump) before i add the BMC manifold and weldon 2345 pump.

Do you think i can benifit from the Pro1 over S2S2 tuners? their spec sheet almost identical on vtec lube.

i have sent PM's to both of the gentelmen and i am waiting to hear from them.

thanks buddy.

s2s2's use stock primary lobes, and a huge vtec lobe.. hence most people see a 40-50whp gain going from low cam to high cam..lol..

Pro1's have bigger then stock primary lobes, and yes, the vtec lobes are almost similar, but the ramp speed and ramp angle are different, allowing for a smoother transition into vtec.

The pro1 is a overall better cam vs a turner series cam, a Cam designed with a good bit of lift and mild duration will work perfectly on a turbo car. You want to keep the duration down , as to not blow the boost through the exhaust..overlap is what to watch out for.
