Sounds like an issue I just had. Are you running a solenoid? I had my lines hooked up backwards. So it was just constantly leaking out of the vent.

its a tial Q and its the precision 4062 with the h cover. im pretty sure the wastegate placement is the problem with the low boost problem but i cant figure out why it wont boost over 27psi. i ck for boost leaks. found none. i was wandering tho, i have pro2's and there set to 0. is it possible to have to much overlap and its just pushing all the boost out the exhaust and thats both my problems?

oh and i have the turbo xs 4 stage boost controller. i am putting a mac solenoid on it tomorrow before i go back to the dyno.

i had the same issues. wastegate spring duty was like at 300% couldnt stay closed and the bov was leaking.

Low boost problem - wastegate size, placement, spring, or too big of turbine wheel
High boost problem - high eMAP blowing the gate open, solenoid hooked up wrong, or boost leak

My money is on the solenoid being hooked up wrong. How is the boost solenoid setup? Make sure to clamp the wastegate instead of bleeding the source.

the boost controller at the moment is a line off the compresser to the inlet of the first stage of the controller and the other side goes to the bottom of the wastegate just like the directions say. but i am getting rid of it cause i dont like it. i have 2 mac soliniods but i dont no if the v1 aem will run 2 solinoids? and i nor my tuner no's how to set it up to do so

Why would you need 2 solenoids?

i have seen on several cars that they are running dual boost soleniods. anybody with more info on just how exactly they work feel free to chime in! i do no that it lets you be able to run low boost levels out the hole and still be able to run 45-55psi without co2

port 2 of the solenoid should go to the top of wastegate, port 1 should be tee'd from compresser and bottom of wastegate.

He wants to use 2 to build more pressure.

When I get home I'll report back with how my car is set up using two solenoids.

Do you have an EMS can can control both seperatly? V1 or V2 AEM?

That's a bleed style setup, which would explain why you are having trouble make high boost. Once the emap gets high enough it overcomes the wastegate spring and blows the valve open. You need to clamp the top.

Also, you don't always need two solenoids to run high boost. Just start with one that clamps the top shut. If that's still not enough boost for you, use the second solenoid to bleed the bottom port while the other one clamps the top. Chances are you won't need a second solenoid. Hope that helps.

Something else is wrong. What are you currently using and how is it setup?

Just read this. Try moving your centerlines apart. Not saying its your problem, but see what happens.

would you say start at 1 degree each way or go more than that and then move back to center 1 degree at a time?

110/110 is a good starting point, but I still think its a boost control problem(solenoid, lines, sources, etc.).

I don't know about the "no BOV" part, but I would say this confirms that you have a soleniod issue or something hooked up wrong.
