Default Boost Controller options

Im in the market for a EBC and looking for some feedback, im looking at a $500 price range or so. Right now im debating between the nlr ams 500 and the apexi avc-r i like the options on both but was hoping for some opinions from people with either unit.

thanks in advance

AVC-R works and it is fairly cheap. But if you have the loot, I would go with the 1000.

ill be running a emspro pretty soon which is based off megasquirt, it has boost controll but only a single setting no ramp or boost by gear, im needing atleast a 2 stage boost controller if i had the money i would just go with the 1000 as a future investment but i have to set myself to a budget of $500.
