any vids of said 8.25 3200lb car?
and if your car is a mustang, why the hell does it weigh so much?
and ive had 2 turbonetics turbos and they both crapped out on me, ive had the same garrett on there for 6 years with no problems, just my .02 cents

347ci 4 bolt block, trickflow highport heads, sheet metal intake
y2k 88mm turbo, air 2 water intercooler, godzilla bov, newgen race wastegate
5in downpipe, 160lb injectors, 12AN feed and return lines, weldon 2345 pump
accel digital 7 dfi computer, msd 7531 ignition, painless wiring kit/switch panel

All those pic were during the building of the car so if you see some misc wire, screw, etc...thats why.
So now can anyone tell me some real life experiences with the turbonetics turbo's having problems....

Ok 88mm ill buy it goes what you say it does (Or at least SHOULD, so ill give you the benefit of the doubt)... However, there are still a couple in this thread making comparable power to your Ford Turd on motors close to 1/3 the displacement (If you're not making AT LEAST 1000 at the wheels you should be ashamed of yourself, if we went by power to CU IN) - hence me mentioning it in the first place, seems maybe YOUR math is off 99.99, cute.
Snail looked smaller in the thumbnail you have for an avatar... your sig is typical of a retarded redneck on a twinkie and bath-salt binge.....As for YOUR attempt at playing grammar ****, its in futility. I spell perfectly fine, and implement context correctly, however I type like a 13 year old and don't give enough of a **** on a web forum to really do much about it. Save your effort.
Turbonetics turbos are NOT on the forefront of advancing technology, and no one making records or winning classes is running them.....unless... You ask Bisi. Food for thought. The Godzilla pieces are meh too as far as Im concerned.
Maybe a coincidence all the fastest imports, 275x tired cares and about anything else holding any kind of records ARENT using them...
I also ran one (Ill help you here, a Turbonetics), The Precision stuff is head and shoulders above them, in performance... Innovation, reliability and, well.. DOp they work? Sure... Are there BETTER options? ABSOLUTELY.
and this:

Sweet switch plate, bro. If you had half of a real clue it would have an LSx in it.

As I stated from the beginning, im not here for the pissing match. But yes that turbo made 1040rwhp on a dynojet @ 22psi through a powerglide trans. On the 5th or 6th pass ever it ran that 8.25@ 166mph in really nice weather. The next outing on a "little" more boost it went 169mph (track was bad=not good 60's) in 95 degree temps and almost 100% humidity.
After that everything was taken apart. A lot of changes have been made. The car is almost finished being put back together. And to make it simple for this dumbass if your **** dont run 7's dont even put that pos in the beams.
As for the engine size, if you choose to have a little engine thats your issue. I could care less if you have a 1.5 liter or a 700ci big block. Fast is fast....
And lsx... lmao **** chebby's.
Also its x275 not 275x lol.

The only thing Ford ever did correctly was circle the problem in blue.

GT40 was nice though!
Bisi has a neat show car. It won't race. It isn't meant to race. It is a display piece.
This should be in the GDD section, not the Drag Racing section.

Mustang needs more LSx.
LOL, could of had a piston and rod u pull it motor make what your aftermarket casting block is and would of weighed 100lbs less.

Congrats, your rwd mustang on an 88mm turbo runs one tenth quicker than the quickest FWD street chassis Honda on a 72mm.

I started off a SBF guy, I grew up wrenching on 60's mustangs, Fox bodies, surrounded by various SBF builds and combinations through out my family. There really is no comparing what a 302 based SBF can do in comparison to a 360+ CI LQ platform. It isn't really comparing apples to apples. A better comparison would be a 351W, or even a 351C, or the hybrid Clevor motors. As I said, CI to CI, Ford's are always the better choice. But when you are working with limited funding, $ per HP, chevy is easily on top there.

Hey how about we put that engine and 72mm turbo out of that car, put it in a 3200lb mustang and keep the boost down to 22psi to see if that still holds true...? You guys are unreal the guy asked a legit question and you all start giving him **** about his car. No wonder the import community is in the **** hole that It's in

My DD is a 91 crx for gas mileage....
1000rwhp aint ****... are you dumb or something? Been there done that, made 1200rwhp as well and now shooting for 1400rwhp+ all on my pos ferd.
lol just lol thats all u get
Thanks for bringing more common sense into the thread.
Btw if any of you awesome gangster professional drag racers want some of my pos ferd, i race all over south florida/georgia so put your money where your mouth is.
A lot of Ford bashing going on in here. Chevy/GM is more popular because its the best $ per HP option in the domestic world. A lot domestic guys run Ford's over Chevy's because its the best HP per cubic inch option. You spend 1.5-2 times on a PSCA Hot Street Ford then you will a chevy. But when you're racing in a class where you are restricted to a specific CI, that better CI to HP ratio is worth the extra money.

For the record we took home both IDRC quick class events in 2011 with a turbonetics snail.
I'm not trying to start nothing but who cares what you have under the hood over whatever car you choose to run just run it and enjoy that's what matters. At the end of the day if I run 8.50's on a precision , turbonetics BW or china eBay special it's still a 8.50!
