im am considering back halfing my crx while its apart and am wanting to see some pics of what everyone else has done. anyone care to share pics?

been thinking of makeing a compleatly flat belly pan to go along with the hatch floor i will be doing this weekend. already have the solid axle done...

not really. just building this car for myself.it will be mostly used as a bracket car. trying to keep it as light and areodynamic as i can.

we have a crx that is formatted for hot rod at the shop. Ill never be able to get pics for you for another week though or so.

it kills me why people would do something like this for a bracket car.

it still uses the stock drum brakes. but, the mountplates, controle arms, and everything esle i made.

and the car will also see some heads up races at a couple of local tracks.

Why? Who cares . . . You dont understand why someone would want to spend their own time and money on a project , doing what they want to do- and NOT build it for a specific class because that is the "normal" thing to do ?

Not everyone needs to race in a class to satisfy their need for speed ( sorry for the horrible pun)

what size tube is that? 1 5/8"? .120 wall? how are you mounting the shifter?

s it is 1 5/8 inch .120 wall and we will be building bracets for the shifter and pedals and all that fun stuff

thanks. thats what i figured. how many feet of tube did you use so far? i may cut out my floor pans this weekend. i need to move the car first into annother one of my garages. it has beter lighting and more of a even floor. i need to get working on it again. its been about 6 months since i shaved the firewall and filled all the unneeded holes in the engine comparment.

so how much lighter than factory is that going to make your car? cause if its like 100 to 200 lb difference i dont see why you would do it. but its your project have fun with it.

the smoth underside would creat less drag. might not save alot of weight, but, reduceing the drag is more of what i am after.
