Axle stuck in a trans/ diff?
Figured I would ask here to get some serious answers.
Have the very end of my pass side axles stuck in the diff/ trans and it will not come out for ANYTHING. Never seen this before. It is just the very last inch or 2 stuck in it. It will not seat in the trans completely and I cannot get it out.
Help, I need serious ideas.
It will move in and out of the trans/ diff about 1/2- 3/4 of an inch... that's it.

First for everything I guess. Got it. Good thing my diff has the beveled washers with a hole in them. Admittedly learned something today.
Must have had axles in and out of this thing over a dozen times in the past few years alone. Never had a snap ring on the end of an axle deform and cause that before.
90+ degree heat outside and no air moving made for a good sweat though... ha.

Lol had to make a special tool at work to bang those axles out,its a common thing on the v6 accord and adyssey, you gotta tap it out from the other side.Just imagine having to remove both axles when you only have one bad one.
23MM socket wedged in there (or bigger if the space is enough) and hit it with the extension and a hammer. Learned that trick years ago when I had an axle that refused to come out at all. I tried pry bars and all but the socket wedged in to separate it worked like a charm!

I do a lot of off-roading, and whacking a D30 shaft out if awesome when you get the damn screwdriver stuck in the axle tube! Required creative use of a wire coat hanger and a hi-lift to get it out!
I have used a wedge method in the past but this time it was a no go. double pry bars trying to work it out was no working either. That sucker was stuck really well. C-clip on the end had deformed and was mashed/ stuck in the diff.
my backup transmission has a OBX LSD in it, my Primary has a Mfactory. the backup has been saving my *** for years, problem is every time I take it out I have to use a long punch inserted from the driver's side to knock the passenger side out of the backup.
i recently had a friends transmission up here with a wavetrac LSD, in order to get the axle out of it, we had to take the diff apart with it still "stuck" on the outer trans case half. not so lucky with those diff's (no holes in the center piece)
