Default Annodizing an Intercooler?

I have an air to air intercooler on my Pro Street bike, and would like to annodize it black. Has anyone ever done this before? Would it effect cooling or heat dissapation? Here are a couple photos of the bike. The frame is powdercoated red now and alot of the billet aluminum stuff is black now.

i cant see anodizing adversley effecting cooling other than being in the hot sun for a bit then the air whould cool it off right away.

anodizing is bascially just a stain, i dont see where it would hurt.

I believe Full Race and others have an option for anodizing their intercoolers.

yes anodizing isnt putting a layer on top of the material unlike powdercoating. Anodizing shouldnt affect cooling at all.

Anodizing would be best, If you really want it to stand out polish the end tanks and everything possible cause if not you may not be happy with the the outcome.

Also if you do polish the stuff tell them not to put it in the bright dip.

If I do polish it, why would I not want it the bright black dip, just curious? Is it too shiny black or will something get messed up?

Polishing it will just give it a uniform finish and it will look like the color of say a black Tial bov. If you just have it anodized as is it will have some blotchy spots and have a sort of flat black finish. Also make sure to polish the bars on the core too, not just the tanks.

If you polish it and still have dipped in the brightness, it may take away some of the shine.

I have done all my intercoller piping, catch can, electrical plate, intake manifolds, and so on. After a few trial and errors I found out what works and what doesnt.

Also if the filler rod is not the correct one you may see difference's in the color. there is a certain rod your supposed to use so that the bead is not different from the rest of the part.

Here you can almost see the difference from the catch can and the piping, the catch can was not polished(it was the first piece I anodized).
