All motor street cars, suspension and 60 foot questions.
My allmotor street car weighs 2150 with driver, I make aprox 240whp.
I have a b16 hydro tranny with a lsd, and 23x8x13 slicks, every once in a blue
moon i will cut a good sixty foot, but most of the time its around 1.85,
i know there are cars getting consistant 1.6x's sixty foots with about the same power. what can i do to help my cause.

what's your suspension setup?
traction bars and a good spring/shock combo is good setup that isn't too expensive. i like the skunk2's drag launch kit personally, but there's lots of good reviews on the omnipower setup as well

Re: All motor street cars, suspension and 60 foot questions. (b18pwr)
you need to have a really good alignment. I do mine with 0 toe front and a slight toe-in at the rear. and if you run the front right around -0.5 degrees camber, then when the front lifts at the launch the camber will be real close to zero so you will have the tire perfectly flat on the ground.
you also need to play around with your launch RPM. why don't you tell us a little bit more about your launches. are you bogging, spinning, if you're spinning how bad and how long/far, etc?

I have gone as fast as 12.1 but that was with a 1.60 sixty foot, i usually get 1.85 sixty foots or so. and end up with a 12.3 or so

if only running a 12 second quarter in a naturally aspirated front wheel drive four cylinder is the worst thing that happens to you, then you are doing alright.

QUOTE=skunked]how old are your slicks?
You should hit low 1.6's all day on that setup.[/QUOTE]
slicks have about 40 passes on them, they are about a year and 3 months but
they are kept inside when in use.

mid elevens?

Re: (MHRacing-310)
40 passes with burnouts ?
Those things are toast man even if theres tread left . Sidewalls on slicks tend to give too much after many hard passes at the track ...
a 23x8x13 with good driving will get you into the 1.6's low 1.7's every time . I would try getting some new ones . You dont need more slick it's just going to kill your MPH ...

my last set of 22's gave good traction until they were worn out.
how many passes do slicks usually last.?
