alignment done on the crx, but i have a few questions(long)!
my friend and i did our best at aligning my car(88crx, with FR traction bars), it took us a while to finish but here are the spec we finished with:
CAMBER -.07 degrees on the left and right side of the car.
CASTER +2.5 degrees on the left side and +2.7 degrees on the right side.
TOE +0.63 degrees on the left side, and +0.65 degrees on the right side.
when we were doing the camber adjustment, we noticed that when i was out of the car it was at -0.7 on both sides. but as soon as i sat on the car, the right side(passenger side) would jump to -1.1-1.2 degrees. we really had no answer to why this happen, so i ask for you opinions on this! i was told to get 1/8 of an inch of total toe, since our machine reads on degrees i figured out that 1.3 degrees was 1/8". actually i was told this by a alignment shop that deals with heavy equipment, in my car we figured that .65 degrees of positive toe would be the mid point on each side to hit 1.3 degrees. on the road the car feels straight, but a bit shakie at speed. if you see anything out of wack on this alignment, please point it out and please make as many suggestions as you guys like! TIA

when you sit in teh car, the suspension height changes, thats why you're seeing changes in the camber. you should have the car aligned with you, or a suitable weight, in the drivers seat to compensate.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Jared »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">when you sit in teh car, the suspension height changes, thats why you're seeing changes in the camber. you should have the car aligned with you, or a suitable weight, in the drivers seat to compensate.</TD></TR></TABLE> that's what we did, and the camber would change from -.7 to 1.1 degrees. would the #'s be any different, if i had aligned the car with slicks on!
