aem box problem?
Trying to get my car to idle a little better. The problems are I set the target idle @900 and on the idle parameters its saying i told it to idle at 1100 or so rpms whichever it decides to choose, idle vs ignition, fuel% vs idle bla bla have all been tried, and cars learned idle is surging as well. Anyone have any other options for me to try.
What is your idle learned value at? If you have the duty cycles set even close for each rpm on the duty cycle vs target idle rpm table it should be close. If you have a surging idle there is something else wrong beside the map more then likely. You can try and use ignition adjustments to get the car to idle at the rpm you want. But for the most part getting the duty cycle close and letting the AEM make small adjustments which is the idle learned value the car should idle pretty steady at your target idle rpm.
What AEM box are you using? If it's the 30-1000, chances are it's getting a lot of noise in the TPS signal in the AEM and it's not triggering the Idle FB on parameter.
