need help on what motor to build
I have been seeing all these k20s and k24s turning out really low 13s and high 12s claiming to be all stock. I have a Integra shell and Crx shell sitting around still from my earlier honda days (10+ years ago) figured why not make a fun toy.
I dont wanna go turbo, but a fun N/A build maybe a little nitrous. Got tired of v8s and decided to come back to these. Always had more fun racing Hondas.
or should I stay with a B series or H series.

Re: need help on what motor to build
K unit ran higher 10s on a stock bottom k24a2 (bolt ons & gears)..
I just recently ran an 11.9 @ 115 with a stock '08 k24a2 longblock/RBC mani/TB/z3 trans/base map from kpro, in a '94 hatch (1960lbs)..
But to be honest, it's what ever you prefer. I would personally go with the bigger displacement (K24, H23/22, ect), but H, B, K, J can all do work N/A with simple builds

What is your budget? A bseries will be the easiest and cheapest to get running. Aftermarket parts are also easier to find.
Kseries on the other hand will get your more power for the least amount of money once its actually installed. Its the installation portion that costs money.

H2B might be a cost effective option for you. A bit cheaper than the K's yet still a stout NA longblock in stock form. Throw on the bolt-ons and tune and you'll be seeing high 12's at least.

To run high 11's, B, H, K can all get that done with simple set ups. As long as you give the car the right suspension, gearing, & tires.
I'm currently at $5580 for my hatch/swap (buying car and all mods other than slicks & skinnies, which I already had). I'm dipping high 11s. After I add a better manifold, header, and cams I'd like to be running lower 11s

You can make power much easier with K-series, downside is the mount kit, k-pro or other ems, custom parts, fuel system, etc, it's a much higher cost. B or H series you can make good power for a lot less and still run what you want to run. Really it's up to you what you want to do.

Or if you want to stick with the B series, build a 2L bottom and use your head. But the bigger displacement is gonna help the most N/A
