New to the forums
Hi, my name is Dave. I don’t drive a Honda yet but a civic sounds like a great little project car to make a lot of power. Right now I drive a 2004 Mercedes CLK500 straight piped it put a intake in it and that’s basically it cant do much with a Mercedes unless you throw in thousands of dollars at it, this where my interest in boosted civics comes in.
I'm looking for some help I know that this topic has probably been beat to death but here it goes.
I want to build a boosted civic my goal would be to make between 350-450 whp. Is this number achievable with out putting in a penny over 4k on parts (car not included) (I would do all the labor myself)?
What motors should I look at? What year civics. How big should the turbo be etc, how strong are the stock internals in the motor stated etc
Thanks for the help in advance!

that goal is going to be a close one to handle. if you do a b series turbo setup you can get 350whp on a pretty conservative setup with a pretty much stock motor.
a d series would require some building and would more then likely put you over 4k. but remember you will more then likely need to buy the b series swap which will run you anywhere from 1500-2500 on average. a nice turbo setup will run you another 2k ish tuned and healthy.

oh i forgot to add you will also need to buy other things to help support the power like suspension if you wanna race it etc. it gets spendy fast. i have over 12k invested in mine and its a honda.... and still not done.
