i am trying to decide on a 2 step rev limit to use in the water box and while staging. i want one that i can set a low limit for the staging/burnout and a high limit for shifting. or if i can get by with just the stagin/burnout(low) limit, i will go that route. thanks for any input.

btw, iginition is totally stock w/ internal coil

MSD 6AL with 2 or 3 step module
or
MSD Digital 6 plus

 

the hondata is always a good option but i am trying to do a low budget thing although i would like to see one of those in the future.

any advantages of the digital over the 6AL?

MSD carries a two stage switch you can use.. I don't believe any of the MSD 6a or 6al have a two stage.. It'll be way cheaper than get any of the ignition boxes, especially if you don't need them.

When it comes to digital ignition.. I believe for the most part.. you need to be running digital ignition before you can use that... I believe talons/eclipses can use this system.. But I could be wrong.

If you don't want the Hondata, then the only other option is MSD. You can get them for cheeeap, used...so look around.

 

hey thanks for the relpies, i checked with a couple local racers and they say the same thing. looks like its going to be msd 6AL w/ 2 step module for me.

digital 6 comes with 2/3 step built in, and u dont need pills to use it, just uses pots/dials

the 6AL (L=limter) u need the seperate 2/3 step module, AND pills.
