I've had two setups...one using a clutch switch and another push button.

I was never a big fan of two step but I just helped a friend wire his to a push button setup taped to his shifter. Simple and effective.

I thought many people wire them to the e brake so that they can preload at the same time? Not possible to preload with it connected to the shifter, yet I know everyone doesnt preload

Depends on what EMS the car is on (if you're running some high end system then don't worry about the clutch, etc.), but here's my E-brake wiring diagram from 1000 years ago.

i was thinking about hooking mine to the clutch switch but won't it bounce off the 2 step when you shift? other then that i was thinkgin a push button on either the shifter or the steering wheel. if that doesn't work then i will put it on the E-brake.

That looks like the most akward setup i've ever seen, both using the button and shifting!

last year i ran 2 relay's......one on the clutch switch and one off the ebrake....so that i could still hold the ebrake up during the burn out......i dont like doing it just off the clutch swith. that was kind of a PITA. this year i just pulled the clicker out of the ebrake and where the clicker button is i threaded it and put a fitting with a button on it. 2 step and boost controller "start" both work off the same button. i like it, works great.

the objective is to get down the track fast....not run 11's at 150 just messin with ya.

i use the antilag a hair but then just go to regular 2 step...i keep having to turn everything down. launch, 2 step, antilag, boost......u name it its about as low as possible. hopefully new tires at rockingham i'll be able to go back to normal.
