15.0 with 161whp B16?
Heres my setup. I have a 91 CRX si (2200lbs) with a B16 in it. Mods, cheap intake, DC sprots 4-2-1 one piece, 2 1/4 custom exhaust, VAFC, CTR cams, mild PnP, adj. cam gears, Quaife LSD, and a PR3 chipped ECU. I went 161whp and 112lbs on the dyno.
Well Im sure Im a bad driver and this is my first time in the Drag Racing forum and just wanted some feedback on my situation. I went 15.0 while my buddy with a B16 CRX DX with intake and exhasut went 14.6. His 60 foot was a 2.2, while mine was a 2.4
Heres my time slip.
60- 2.402
330- 6.496
1/8- 9.820
MPH- 74.90
1000- 12.664
1/4- 15.069
MPH- 93.18
Any kind of input is welcomed. I know I should be pullin better 60s. My best 60 was a 2.394 and that was with the revs at 3200 roughly and feathering the clutch out as fast as possible without dumppin.
Help me out!
Thanks guys.

As a "rule of thumb", when judging 60 ft times with a 1/4 mile time like urs, .1 off your 60 ft. translates to .2 off your 1/4 mile. so it makes perfect sense that your buddy ran .4 faster than you because he had a .2 60 ft.
When you were launching, were your tires spinning or did it bod down a little. With my friends 160 whp civic, he drops the clutch at 4000 rpms and gets 2.2 60 fts. It also matters what tires you are running too. the 2.2's were done on all season 13in rims.

My tires spun a lil but nothing drastic. My tires suck, I have Toyo Proxies and I hate them. They do have somewhat good tread on them. Im on Tenzo R sinko Rs 15s (the 13lb rims) with 25psi in the tires. I tried a luanch from 3500 and spun a lil. Anything higher than 3500 I would spin big time.
Thanks for all the help guys!

Must be your lack of torque. I have a 91 Integra RS that makes 167 hp/175 trq and it went 13.5@100. Weighs in about 2140 w/o driver.
But yeah as said beforen pulling that 60' down should drastically reduce your ET. I've had .2 in a 60' effect the 1/4 ET by .6.

????????
????????
You have 175 ft.lb. of tq??? May I ask how you managed to do that, I don't think I have ever seen a 4 cylinder put down more tq than hp.
I would think your times would be a little better than 13.5 if these numbers are true.

my 88 crx si went 14.6 @95 w/ 2.2 60'

your 60' is definitely your biggest enemy, but your trap speed seems a little low for your setup too.

Not like it makes any difference, but every 4cyl accord since at least 1988 has come with more torque than hp straight from the factory.

Trap speed seems a little on the low side for the whp you are making in such a light car....I once had a 98 bone stock gsr that trapped 93-94....
what is the setup for that thing, sohc nitrous maybe??? looks more like a vw dyno sheet then a honda and if you really are making that much tq i would hope you could manage better then a 13.5 with a car that light
back to the original topic....if you get your 60 fts down you should be able to run around a 14.5-14.7 just keep practicing and get some different tires
Nitto 555r's are the **** 2.00 60fts everytime and i'll get at least 10-12k miles out of them

I cannot see how his times are off for the power he's making.
I've helped both owners work on the cars posted on that timeslip and both are making roughly equal power.
His Integra was also on a set of 20" slicks causing a shift into 5th gear before the end of the track. More ET is yet to be gained with a taller slick and a better 60ft.
The 13.8 car on the timeslip was a 92 hatch, stock LS with a 50 shot. Probably making similar if not a little less HP. The hatch weighs 1960 w/out driver (driver weighs 250-260 lbs) and was running on a set of 13" dirt track mickey thompson tires that were way too big for the setup. (Equivalent rolling diameter of a 24-25" slick.)
From what we can tell both cars have low 13s in them with virtually no HP. Not too bad for ghetto racers when the fast cars are left at home.

His MPH seem very low. No matter how shitty of driver, you should have higher mphs, unless you don't full throttle all the way.
PSI2HI
Your max power is at 5200? Man your like a V6 here, never seen B16's making so much power right away. You must be on nitrous with that much power right away, unless it's V6 dyno.

These tires still grab at 10% tread life... and even lower if i kept using em

Now running a 24.5" slick, no longer into 5th gear. Times dropped to 13.0@104. Rock stock my LS made more torque than the modded B16. Stock w/ 152k on the clock i put down 125hp/119trq. Even on that graph torque was instant. Went 15.0@90 stock on street tires w/ power listed above. Im a firm believe in the LS powerplant.
