PandaMan and others, what types of brushes do you use to scrub the APC into various areas of the engine during detailing?

I've used both of these and have had good results with both as well.

Price wise they really aren't much different.

I like this the most mainly for its soft bristles if you will. However, i had an issue of some of the hair falling out after a while. It was/is my favorite brush still

You use those for your engine? I really need something smaller with bristles all around to get into really tight areas in my engine bay.

I got like a 8 pack of steel and hard bristle brushes from Harbor Frieght.
Found the link

So far ive cleaned and engine and a tranny and they have held up. If not theyre cheap enough to replace again.

That would scratch the F out of any plastic parts or painted metal in the engine bay. Really looking for what the professional detailers use to agitate the Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner sprayed in the engine bay during a detail. I see PandaMan's detail threads where he says "engine bay sprayed with APC and agitated with various brushes", just looking for suggestions as to which brushes to use.

Well you didn't say that up front. I would have posted this as well. I've had mine for a little while and it's held up fairly well.

The red plastic part cracked on me but otherwise it's been money. I've also used a second one for getting TOGW out of cracks and crevices in the car.

Good thread, man. I too have wondered what detailers use to agitate the engine.

I have misc high end paint brushes (super soft bristles, 1- 1.5"), a toothbrush (for hard to reach, not-so-visible areas) and old microfibers. It's probably not the most efficient, but for my OCD, I feel productive when I spend the time lol

Here is another brush you can use, the Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush:

Or just go on ebay, type in detailing brush, and have it.

Someone posted some brushes in another thread they use for engine cleaning... I think it was a build thread but I can't find it now. I think it was just some stuff from AutoZone but looks like they would get the job done for an engine bay.
