I think that you could probably create a thread and get a mod to sticky it in the paint and body forum, but i can't see simply detailing and cleaning being worthy of it's own section.

It would be interesting to have detailing section. I am sure it will get more traffic than the Ruckus forum.

I think it's worth it to at least have a small section about it. I mean, there are at least three well known sites that are fully dedicated to the topic, and we can't have a subtopic on our site dedicated mostly to honda/acura?

I don't care much for a stickied thread. I've seen the few that were posted and they're fine for basic stuff, but they're crap compared to what other sites provide. Apparently it's not sinking in that I'm suggesting a devoted part of the site for Q&A, reviews, and demonstrations of detailing-only related subjects -- not how to replace a quarter panel, not which grit to sand your car between paint, not "is maaco any good," and not how to just wash and wax your car. few people ask detailing related questions because it's not a provided section on the site. It'd get more traffic than half the forums on the site. GDD, build threads, all motor/turbo, A/C, and civic threads get 95% of the attention while others are near useless.

we had a hand detailing thread and I also made a machine detailing thread.. alot more than just how to "wash and wax" a car.

I used a new line of products last week, by "Prima". I clayed, used their 'Amigo' glaze, and their 'Epic' synthetic wax, and the car looks incredible.

E-Rok, ever heard of this Prima stuff? The MINI forum swears by it.

For the love of God please shut up!

There are plenty of threads dealing with the topic of detailing a cars in the appropriate forums.

umm, youve never used one right i guess

random orbit is great if you dont have super deep scratches. i got to the orbital only if the damage to the clear coat really needs it

btw poorboy polishes ftw

ive used mine many and many times. it just doesnt make sense to spend 2-3x longer on a car because yo are using a PC insead of a rotary. I even us my rotary to fine polishing and glazes because it is alot faster. PC for applying wax.

I dont find spending all day to polish a small car fun.
