Re: Soft Bristle Brush
I saw telescopic foaming wands with bristles at auto parts store. They feel soft like those at car washes. Yes I would like to use on whole car durring winter.

You should never touch the paint with anything other than microfiber towels, genuine sheepskin mitts, or the foam pads used when applying polish and wax products.

Re: Soft Bristle Brush
i have no problem using a high quality boar's hair brush for SUV and truck roofs. i am highly confident that a two bucket system with a couple oz of optimum no rinse combined with a high quality shampoo will provide more than enough lubricity to protect the finish. light pressure and keep rinsing.
i don't see the point in using it in easy to reach areas though.
for wells, you can use pretty much any synthetic handle brush or 360 wheel brush. i use something like this
or for trucks
or
which is mainly for wheel barrels but works well for lowered vehicle wells where the other brush style wouldn't fit.
