1971 Chevelle SS: PowerFab Delivery Prep via RRD
I just realized how long its been since I posted up on this site. Here's one I did yesterday. Enjoy! The post is just copied from Houston-Imports and posted here.
I have to admit this one wasn't in very bad shape. Swirls were present but overall, the paint and everything else was nice and fresh. It still needed a good detail to be showroom ready. I heard the car should be receiving some attention from a better photographer, so it was a must for her to look perfect. I'll let the pics speak for themselves. They are raw, unprocessed photos straight from the camera, to my computer and hosted on Photobucket.
Products used:
Makita 9227c Rotary Buffer
Makita Orbital Polisher
Hi-Temp 357 Magnum Compound
Hi-Temp Fast Cut Polish
Hi-Temp Bahama Mama Glaze
Lake Country / 3M Wool and Foam Pads
Meguiars 2.0 Liquid Tech Wax
Black Magic High Def Carnauba Wax/Sealant
Foam Felt Finger Applicator Pads
BEFORE PICS:
The clear was a lot harder than I had expected. A lot of areas needed two or more passes with the 357 Magnum and that **** refinishes heavily oxidized C/F panels. These are pics are after completing the 357 and Fast Cut:
PROGRESS PICS:
I cleaned up the engine and polished the valve covers and radiator top cover. The rest was cleaned and dressed.
FINISHED PICS
Thanks for checking it out!!!
Just one question, though....
Are you ready for the PowerFab Dyno Day?
