Default quick question

well so far i have the stock engine on my 87 crx si, but i was wondering what options do i have for a swap, i know that you can swap a dohc d16 and any b-series, but are there any other option, and can someone tell me which one is the easiest and cheapest? thanks
all i want on my car is around 150-175 hp

no. we all are just sick and tired of answering the same questions.. how much money do you want to spend? easiest and cheapest is a D16a1 from an 86-87 integra. your goal of 150-175hp is about $4000 away unless you do a turbo D16a1.

well i look through the whole classic honda section, and i only saw a few post about random stuff nothing really helpful, so i decided to ask.
if i would of found an answer i would of never started a new thread.
and if you are tired already, then what are you still doing on honda-tech?

you are lucky in the fact that your car is already fuel injected, so there are a lot less wires to do. honestly if i could go back i would probably just do a ZC swap.. there is so much stupid little stuff with the b series that it's a pain. but it's also not my only car and isn't the most important to work on. the track miata is because we actually race that.. the civic is just for fun. i'm sure if it were my primary transportation it wouldn't be that bad..

yeah i know, but the wiring wouldnt be much trouble to me
and when you say zc, you mean the d16a1 right?
i get all those engines confused,
those are easy to swap, or what the b20 that comes on the preludes?
are those as easy as the d16a1?

b20 is terrible in any car from those preludes. no one makes kits to bolt that motor into anything and most B series parts aren't interchangeable with that block..

and by ZC i mean ZC not a d16a1. i mean a brown top ZC. not a black top ZC, but a brown top from 85-87 ZC..
