Default Dinosaur Rex: My 86 CRX Si

After getting this 86 CRX Si a few years ago and some tinkering here & there, especially from being a complete basketcase....Heres how it sits at the moment. The JDM fan bois and Herra frush crowd probably wont embrace it... Quite frankly I dont really care, as I built it for my enjoyment and wasnt trying to be trendy with it anyway. The only thing left to do is more suspension work and I may get bigger brakes so I can start autocrossing and doing some HPDE soon.

Gorgeous car. If I may ask.. where did you get your clear corner/fender lights? Iv'e been looking for a replacement pair for my 84 rex which was in an accident, and been having a hell of a time finding ones of any color for that matter.

Thanks, as for the corner lights....I bought these off someone one RPR that is located in UK. These are of the euro (EDM) CRX.

Ha, it was one of those things that made me rethink what I was doing. In the end I couldnt do it, I have a lot of time in it and decided to just enjoy it till the wheels fall off. I was surprised how many offers and deals I was getting too.

Nice example of a gen 1.
I recently picked up my third - red like that but with the light silver two tone. Lucky enough to have the roof vent and 'popup' lights. Lot of work to get it where I want it, but its usable now.

njoy autocrossing it - I track one of mine, and its great fun.

Thanks Ive been playing with this on spare time for the past 2-3 years. Doing everything myself including the paint. I finally got it on the road a few days ago since when I first brought it home....

Ive seen the ones you have posted on RPR. Great stuff. You Aussies get all the rare things like those pop up headlights and roof vents.

Thanks, the hood was bought from a Florida RPR member at a mere 150 bucks (Around $600 new from Heel Toe Auto). Since I needed a header panel (which costs around $120) and the stock hood was dented, so it was a no brainer getting it. The current wheels I got at very low price, but will be getting a new set of wheels very soon...

The front is off a 95 accord and the side skirts are off a 99 civic coupe, both trimmed to fit.

Thanks, I tried to keep it clean and simple. As for it having an AFR in the vent, its actually a digital voltmeter. Lots of people think its an AFR, LOL.

The wheels in the first pic are a set of old 14" TSW Quads.

Picked up some new wheels. Although not what I originally wanted (14x7 Enkei RPF1s), I picked up a set of 15x7 Drag DR21s. Im using the rest of the money to take my kid and wife out this weekend to a theme park and pay some bills..... Anyhoo, heres the pics.......
