change from efi to carbed, can it be done?
I have a 1987 1.5L honda crx engine D15A3 fuel injected motor and need to make it carburated. will the distributor from a 1987 1.5L carbed D15A2 work? any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I am using it for a racing application for my son.

You can keep the stock distributor and run carb'ed. Side draft Webers or Mikunis make huge power in the D15A3/EW4.

I was told also that I would need to run a electric fuel pump, this may help in what I am doing. will get back once I try.
thanks.

Yeah, an EFI fuel pump will provide something like 40-60psi of pressure. Webers only run with 3PSI. You'll need a high-flow pump and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to really supply those Webers properly.

ok, this is where we are at. could not get spark to the spark plugs. a mechanic friend said that we were missing the "brain box" from the distributor( the wire that comes from the distributor and goes to the box) so I am asking "can I swap out the camshaft from the 1985 1.5L carb to the 1987 1.5L efi. my friend said it may fit. my other question is he told me that I need to line up the timing gears. I understand how to line up the top one but the one on the bottom with the pulley, how do I line that one up. I purchased a manual but it does not show me that. the distributors are differant and if I can use the "carbed" one I am sure it will work.(I am hoping anyway)
