Carb Conversion for 86 Accord LX
I need a new carb, I've been looking for options and found a weber conversion kit 32/36DGEV, same carb I but on my old toy. I want to know if anyone has worked on these enough to let me know what to expect. My 77 celica was not like this, to many vac lines. And if I put in a weber, would I lose the cruse control? Thank you for any help out there on this.

I recently used the Redline conversion kit to convert my 88 LX to a weber carb. I engine is much more responsive and the power seems to be in more usable parts of the powerband. Plus you get the fun of ripping all the emissions stuff off!
You can make the cruise work with the weber conversion by simply supplying vacuum to it. The cruise control actually works the pedal rather than the carb.
For more info check out http://www.3geez.com -- The best site for 3rd gen Accords.
Of course if you live in an area with emmisions testing the weber conversion is not recommend.
Good luck with it.

Thank you for your input. I was hoping that someone did the conversion and could tell me about it. Was the installation hard? Thank you for your time.

I put a Weber carb on my 84 LX, and my gas mileage improved on average about 1-2mpg. If I'm nice I can get 33mpg, but usually I get around 29-30. Before the Weber, I was getting 27-28 average.
