Default 91 dx Motor into an 87 Si

My buddy totaled his 91 and my motor is bad in my 87 so we had the idea to swap the 91 motor into my 87 so, we are running into a problem with the mounts and just kinda did this project on the fly so we need to find the mounts for the 91 to fit into an 87. If any one else happens to know of more problems we will have please let me know. Thank you.

i believe the mounts are going to be a bit different, you will have to usethe clutch off of the 87. you may need a mount kit just like what is used to swap b series into the 87.

There is no mount kit for that swap and its not even worth your time.

i actualy have a pic of the engine in question, there is a complete car on a yard, poped the hood and still complete. i would be intersted to know if the P/s bolts would line up the same way.

actually, hasport just recently released the kit for this:

http://hasport.com/store/index.php/m...s-af/afd2.html

but you have to use a hydro-tranny d series trans.. so.. yeah.. stock ew trans will not bolt to 88+ d series engines.
