87 honda civic Si Timing question
Ok my buddy is going to buy a 87 civic SI and the timing has slipped. The guy selling it wants 400$, Since its an interference motor how high is the chance of the valves slamming shut and bending? Cause if that has happened then he will have to buy a new head if im not mistaken right?

Re: 87 honda civic Si Timing question (Crusified Ninja)
he will need to buy a new head if it has happened however it could have or could not have broken the valves
i've heard of a lucky few who have had that problem and had it be ok w/o valves breaking so its kinda a 50/50 unless you hear it run
