Default 87 accord hatch

I drive a 1987 accord lxi hatchback, has over 200,000 miles on it, still runs good but is starting to get old. I am wanting to rebuild the car, was thinking about putting a b16 in it. Any input on what engine I should drop in it would be helpful, budget of about 2500. Would it be better to rebuild stock 2.0 or put something else in it. Any input is helpful thanks.

Default Re: 87 accord hatch (s_wells)

Ive heard the b20a5 out of the 88-91 prelude also came in the 86-89 accord in japan i believe that version bolts in.
but the prelude the motor tilts forward so the us version isnt as easy a fit.
