i have an 86 crx si and i have no clue what engine is in it ..i know its an sohc and its stock but i cant seem to find any numbers on the block or anywhere..heres a pic of the engine so someone can help me out

EW4 or D15. should be EW though, they were renamed D15 in 87..

on the back corner of the block there is a number but the head covers up most of it, its on the timing belt side

yours has been devac'd as well, so it should run nice, unless they messed it up

ya its a good running car so far iv had it for probably around 6 months it dosnt get drove everyday but i start it up everyday i paid $400 for her and i love it to death it needs alot of work but so far all it has it a mysterious oil leak from somewhere on the back of the block ...and to everyone thanks for your help ..ill post all the pix of it in a lil bit

i was wondering if there was any swaps i could do without changing motor mounts or anything and where is the vin located

D16A1 (requires some wiring + other easy stuff) And VIN is above ur speedo,next to winshield... (lil tag that'll start w JHMXXXXXXX) Has rivets holding it on,ya know? like any vehicle!
