Hey guys I have a really nice original paint 82 honda accord hatch in silver with 46000 original Canadian kms...
I m having such a delima whether to paint it original silver again or a nice type R white theme as I have the vx rims that ill paint up as well and the car has this beautiful red interior to which I think would look sooo much better with the white exterior.

The idea is to make it look fresh revamped but I am worried that it might take away from the value in case I do go to sell it. The rest of the car is completely oem untouched and is absolutely wonderful condition.

Yet the car does need paint with as there are dots of rust here and there and a couple big dents that I cant leave it the way it is.

SO I would love to hear peoples opinions . Ill be posting up some photos in the next lil bit.

If it wasn't for the rust I say leave it, but that needs to be taken care of if you want it to be around for awhile. My car has way more rust than that, but it's my dd and I'll drive it till the fenders fall off haha. It just depends on what YOU want out of it. Good luck on your decision though. Sweet car by the way (even if it is an accord, jk).

Silver if you're on a budget, painting the engine bay and door sills gets expensive fast.

Money is not an issue as I will be the one doing all the work and painting. I build and paint custom hondas for a living but this car kinda has me alil uncertain. When it comes to the vintage side of hondas customers and people are completely different hence the posted question. I really do not know if others see my vision or if would be a desirable one.

Any and all input is really welcome. Any personal experiences too She will be pulled off the road soon as the snow flies as i got a kermit aka green vx hatch for the winter.

dont think about resale value. you have an 82 accord. there isn't much you'll be able to get for it. do what you'd like. i'd say original silver.

X2 do what you like, your car should make you happy. If its done right and looks good it will only help the value of a 82 accord anyways. Lol gl with the choice

Even if it does only have 46 000km, this car has absolutely nothing going for it in it's current state.

Redoing it completely factory will only reflect it's value to enthusiasts......*crickets* .......

And making it one of a kind will either make people wonder why, or actually give it some desirability, if done cleanly.

I love old school Hondas, and I love Accords, but this generation just does nothing to even spark my interest.

This is an ideal car for some college kid who delivers pizzas.
