1986 Honda Civic Si *pics*
Blown motor(piston shot through the block),missing key I don't have the money or time to fix it. I was told to remove it from my driveway by the city. What should I do with it? I'm thinking to have it dismantled this week. Some guy offered me 150, Id wipe my crap with that 150. I was originally asking 500 which I though was reasonable for the condition that its in. Inputs?

sell the POS denali and fix that thing up! that is awesome! i'd definately think it were worth it for $500. post on http://www.redpepperracing.com in the FS forum. that is definately a prime swap candidate.. drop a ZC or integra D16a1 in it. can be done for WAAAAY less than $1000 and it would save atleast that much on gas from the crapali.

Don't sell it, fix it. But if you have to sell, I'd say $500 is a decent asking price considering the body looks excellent.

Believe it or not the Denali has been excellent, no issues whatsoever. Yeah the car is rust free, no body damage clean lines. Interior could only use a shampoo and it would look excellent.

i don't care. i don't wear a bow-tie, neither should my truck.
$500 would be a STEAL in the northeast.

This motor should work?
I can't find a d16a1 on any of the sites that sell motors.

nope. you need 84-87. different mounts and wiring on the 88+. you'll also need the integra front knucles/disk brakes/calipers. or use what i did, integra knuckles 92+DX discs and calipers. smaller pistons in the 92+civic calipers than the teg ones. plus a greater pad selection.

btw, in order to get a key, take the inner door panel off and remove one of the lock cylinders from the doors. they have a code on them. and take it to a honda dealer with the registration. they should be able to cut a key. i did it.

youre a god damn fool if you sell that car. park it where that red rust bucket is and get rid of the red one and get a tarp. problem solved. then get a second job and use that money to fix up that primo mid 80's time machine.

Getting a part time job is out of the questions, I'm trying to finish school. Im 80% sure on keeping it. I'm aware of opening up the glove compartment and going to honda. How hard would it be to break into the car to be able to unlock it?
