Hmm, I'm afraid that the only parts that might interchange would be from an 84 or 85 Accord. The 82-83 while looking similar, have different tanks. It's possible the 86-89 tanks fit, since they're the same capacity.

Door handles will work from 82-85 Accords, but I'm pretty sure they have to be the same body style. I.E. hatch handles probably won't work in a sedan. I've never really inspected them that closely.

If you're feeling bold you can put the motor form the 89 Accord in your 85. It bolts up to your tranny and should be good for about 20-30hp out of the box. :D

Just purchased me daughter a 1985 Honda Accord Sedan LX.
I found this site by accident .
Any one installed an aftermarket stearing wheel and kept the cruise control .
Also I am going to try to replace the stock 13 inch wheels with something more modern ,got any ideas .

Late model Integra wheels look great. The 15s look bitchen with some 205s on it. I've got the GSR "fat fives" on mine. And they look good with the Integra mesh wheels too.

If you want a sporty wheel with cruise, look for the 3rd gen Prelude wheel. It's a bolt on, and is pretty nice. Any Honda wheel from the era works. But I don't know about keeping the cruise, as most aftermarket wheels don't have enough buttons.

You should hit us up over at 3geez.com. There are way more people who can help out.

what kind of bike is that in the avatar? I had a cb550 a couple years back. I miss it, but love the new 650.

My suggestion for wheels is anything Honda that has the same backspacing and bolt pattern, and isn't so wide that the tires rub while turning.

Is she into cars, or just see them as transportation appliances?
